Meet Adair Simon, our Multi-Tasking Woman in this month's spotlight.

Whether behind the camera, media training or producing documentary films, Adair Simon is a multi-tasking woman who spots a need and crafts an answer.

Through her work with the production company she founded, Video Progressions, Adair identified a real need: helping the executives and management who were being called upon to step up to the camera and podiums to speak.  Now, through her subsidiary Strictly Speaking she shares skills with these corporate leaders that are specifically tailored to their speaking and communication needs.

“More than snakes, sharks or spiders, studies consistently show that public speaking tops the list as the number one fear of most people. That’s true even among CEO’s and high-level executives who are often called upon to speak to large audiences of employees or peer groups.  The key is teaching speakers how to develop a rapport between physical and verbal communications in order to connect with audiences and make an impact,” she explains.

As if running two companies weren’t enough, Adair, who’s happily married and ‘mom’ to two Golden Retrievers, found time to be President of the Atlanta Chapter of Women and Film and Television and then serve on the Women and Film International Board.

In fact, it was after attending a WIF Conference in New Zealand 2004 that she jumped up China to film the progress of the Three Gorges Dam. This gave birth to her first documentary China’s Three Gorges Dam: A Flood of Controversy first aired in July 2008 on PBS to coincide with the Summer Olympic Games.
